Eight alumni of the SCSU Journalism Department returned to campus to discuss careers, essential skills, and the state of the industry with current students.
On April 24, students involved in journalism and faculty of the department gathered in the Adanti Student Center Room 201 to enjoy this night with alumni and enjoy some pizza.
Alumni shared insights into their current roles, detailed the paths they took to reach their positions, internship opportunities, the significance of personal branding and the impact of social media in today’s job market.
The night kicked off with a Q&A style panel discussion amongst students and alumni. Then afterwards, students were able to network and ask any individual questions.
