Seven high school journalism teachers explored story ideas, data, photography and layout during a four-day workshop hosted by the Journalism Department at Southern Connecticut State University.

The workshop ran from June 26 through June 29 in Morrill Hall.

Teachers came from Windsor Locks, Hebron, Shelton, Milford, Ansonia and New Haven high schools.

The event was organized by Journalism Department Chair Cindy Simoneau, and included presentations by assistant professors Jodie Mozdzer Gil and Vern Williams.

This is the second summer the department hosted the free workshops for teachers. Details about future workshops can be found here.
